It is located in the County of Cornwall, a few minutes drive from the A30 and to the west of Truro, accessed by the A390. Convenient rail access is assured by the proximity of Truro Station, approximately five miles away, part of the Cornish Mainline and connecting the town to London Paddington. Twelve miles to the north of Truro is Newquay airport, allowing quick transport links to further afield.
